Art that celebrates Charleston

As an artist, I find it difficult to choose just one medium. I lean heavily toward acrylic on canvas, however what is art if there is not play? I love mixing media — lately, my favorite is starting a work of art with a watercolor background and adding the primary subject matter in acrylic paint. Which leads me to another point. Why stop at traditional work on paper or canvas when we have ‘canvas’ all around us? 🙂 I have had so much fun painting my stairs, bar stools, and most recently my dining room table leaf. Scroll down and see for yourself! 🙂

Canvas that knows no limits

There’s nothing quite like having an idea in your head and then bringing it to life. Pictured below are works that I’ve completed in my own house, my dining room table leaf painting and our entryway stair risers. I’m currently working on painting another set of stairs in our house, and can’t wait to add them here!

Art benefiting Charleston nonprofits

I am honored and proud to share my art in a way that benefits the local Charleston nonprofit community. Organizations that have benefited from my work include the South Carolina Aquarium, Redux, AFFA SC, and We Are Family.
