Why make a green mango smoothie?
Green mango smoothies are easy to make, especially for people on the go. There is literally no way you can mess it up! Unless you forget to put the blender lid on, but I’m confident you’ve got it covered. 😉 Green mango smoothies are healthy and delicious, using only whole food ingredients. Because this smoothie calls for frozen mango, you can enjoy it any time of year. Smoothies keep well in the fridge, so you can make enough for a few servings all in one batch to save time.
How to store a green mango smoothie?
If you choose to make your smoothie in advance, you will need to find a storage solution. Green mango smoothies will keep well in the fridge for 2-3 days. I recommend storing your smoothie in a glass container to optimize freshness. Plastic containers are porous and the food seems to break down a little more quickly than if glass is used. I personally like to use Ball mason jars. The smaller pint 16 oz jars are perfect for individual sizes, and the wide mouth 32 oz jars are great if you like larger portions or for optimizing storage space for multiple servings in the fridge.

Ingredients
- 2 c spring mix
- 2 cup frozen mango
- 3 mandarins
- 1 banana
- 4 tbsp hemp seeds
- 2 cups coconut water
Instructions
- Load up the blender with all of your green mango smoothie ingredients together. Start with the greens! Once the greens are in the blender, layer in the frozen mango, mandarins, banana, and hemp seeds. Pour coconut water over everything in the blender last. Greens on the bottom layer of the blender will help the frozen mango move enough to break down into a smooth consistency. If mango is placed on the bottom layer of the smoothie, the ingredients might get stuck and need to be tampered or manually mixed around depending on the power of your blender.
- Optional: for an extra smooth smoothie, cycle through the smoothie program setting on your blender twice. On the Vitamix D750, this is the water droplet setting. This really may not be necessary at all, however I have a son who will not drink his smoothie if there is any hint of a chunk. Running the green mango smoothie through the blender twice ensures that no chunks will be found. 🙂
