Hi Pelo friend! So, maybe you just attempted to book a live in-studio class at Peloton Studios NY and weren’t immediately successful. Or maybe you just planned a NYC getaway and your travel dates are past the drop date for live classes during your stay (aka they are already full). Not to worry! This is what the Peloton Studios waitlist is all about. This article is intended to give you helpful information along with tips and tricks to navigating the PSNY live class waitlist.
How to get on a Peloton Studios waitlist
The technicality of how to achieve a Peloton Studios waitlist spot is much more simple than the nuts and bolts of how this actually works out. Technically speaking, visit the PSNY website, www.studio.onepeloton.com, and choose either the London or New York studio. Scroll ahead to your specific dates of travel to find classes listed for each date. Classes that are already full will have a red button with the word FULL on it. This means that all of the regular spots in class, plus all of the available waitlist spots have been filled. Classes that have waitlist availability will have a red button with the words JOIN WAITLIST. If you see this, go for it! If a class spot is available, the red button will display the word BOOK. Unless you are reserving a class on the drop date six weeks in advance, it’s highly likely that you will not see a BOOK button anywhere. JOIN WAITLIST buttons may be available, however, don’t expect to see too many of them. Don’t get discouraged! Read on.
Peloton Studios live class booking and waitlist limitations
Peloton will only allow one individual to book up to four classes within one weekend (Thursday- Monday), including a maximum of two classes on any given day. Waitlist spots count towards your maximum limit. For example, you cannot join one class and then waitlist two more classes on the same day. This can be tricky to navigate if you are just trying to get in the front door without preference on which class you actually take.
Peloton Studios waitlist tips
Here are my tips to navigating the waitlist rules, and the crowds, to make your way into Peloton Studios.
Stay logged in
Logging yourself into the Peloton Studios website is KEY to joining a waitlist successfully. There are thousands of other Peloton members attempting to book classes on any given week. If you see a waitlist spot available and need to spend time logging in prior to joining the waitlist spot, there is a great chance that someone will jump in and grab the spot ahead of you. Waitlist spots do not last. Read that sentence again and then go log in!
Refresh, refresh, refresh
Like I mentioned in the last section, waitlist spots do not last. Therefore, you will need to refresh the Peloton Studios website multiple times a day. You will need to stalk the website, I’m sorry to say. It can get tiring and start to feel a little, well, stalkerish. I promise, it’s worth it! I have personally booked and attended classes live in studio from waitlist spots on several occasions.
If you are still a few weeks out from class and aren’t finding the waitlist openings you want, don’t get discouraged! Plans change all the time. Waitlist spots tend to open up as the class date gets closer, so definitely keep watching. 👀
Check with our friends in Peloton Facebook groups for potential cancellations
If you’re not having luck jumping onto a Peloton Studios waitlist, check with members in Facebook groups to see if anyone plans on canceling a spot that they have booked for your dates. However, let’s say you make a post in the group. There aren’t any members planning on canceling their spots (who is really planning to cancel anyway). BUT later, someone who saw your post has a cancellation need arise. They remember you, return to the post, and can coordinate a time when you are both online and ready. The member releases their spot, and you pick up the newly available waitlist spot at the same time. It might be a long shot, but I have seen this happen before — it’s worth a try!
Update: As soon as I wrote the above paragraph, someone posted this in the #BooCrew Facebook Group!

What happens if you’re on a Peloton Studios waitlist and a class spot becomes available?
If you are on Peloton Studios waitlist and a class spot becomes available, Peloton Studios will automatically email you using your email on file. Be sure that you are aware of which email you have on file with Peloton Studios, and also ensure that you have notifications enabled for your email. Peloton gives members a window of two hours to accept and complete the booking by entering payment. If you already have a credit on file, you will automatically be placed into the class spot.

If you miss your two-hour window, you will miss the opportunity and be removed from the waitlist. I let myself be removed from a studio waitlist because I decided not to go during that class time, and am still hoping for a different spot. Here’s an example of the email you will receive if you miss your two hour booking window:
